Do you provide office-based services?

Awespired currently provides in-person, virtual, and home-based counseling, coaching, clinical supervision and educational consulting services. Our virtual counseling, coaching, and clinical supervision services are available for residence throughout California. Our in-office counseling, coaching, and clinical supervision services are available in San Diego, California (Rancho Penasquitos). Our school-based counseling and clinical supervision services are available with prior approval from the district in San Diego, California.  Our educational consulting services are available both virtually and in-person (nationwide).

Why would I choose to meet with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for Coaching?

Choosing a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a master's in public health as your coach means you’re working with a professional who brings both clinical skills and a holistic, systems-based perspective to your personal growth.  With a deep understanding of the role physical health, emotional regulation, connection, purpose, and self-efficacy have on well-being, I offer more than surface-level strategies. I bring expertise in mind management, holistic wellness, and neuroeducation to help you experience sustainable, values-aligned change.At Awespired, coaching isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s an integrative process rooted in science, soul, and story, with support provided to help you to regulate your mind, align your habits with your values, and move forward with intention and purpose. Whether you're navigating life transitions, parenting challenges, or professional growth, your experience at Awespired will be grounding, personalized, and transformative.

Can you help me navigate school-related issues, such as requesting an IEP or a Section 504 plans, for my child?

Yes — I can absolutely be part of the team that supports your child’s well-being and growth at school. With experience as a district level 504 Coordinator and a Special Education School Social Worker, I believe in close collaboration between students, families, and educators in creating clear, simple, and supportive plans to meet a student’s unique needs.  Rather than simply advising you to “ask for an IEP or 504,” I will approach supporting a student from a place of curiosity, knowing that accommodations and services are best when they are customized for the individual student in a specific learning setting. Together as a team, we will identify your child's needs, explore options for available support, and ensure ongoing communication between all team members.  Because at Awespired, when families and schools work in partnership, students are more likely to thrive.

Do you accept insurance?

Counseling/Therapy ServicesAwespired is an in-network provider with Optum and UnitedHealthcare.  If you have Optum or UnitedHealthcare insurance, please contact the number on your insurance card to see if you will be required to pay the in-network negotiated rate or a copay for services. All rates for approved counseling/therapy services are set by Optum/UnitedHealthcare. In addition, most PPO plans will cover a percentage of counseling/therapy services for providers outside of their network.   If you choose to use your out of network benefits, I will provide you with a receipt for mental health services (called a superbill) that will include all of the information you need to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note that there is no guarantee that counseling/therapy services will be covered within your specific plan.  I suggest that you contact your health insurance provider for more specifics regarding your mental health benefits.Coaching, Clinical Supervision, and Educational Consulting Services Coaching, clinical supervision, and educational consulting services are not covered by insurance.

Fees for ServicesAt Awespired, sessions are both reflective and practical; honoring your experiences while building meaningful skills that can be applied in your everyday life. When working with children and adolescents, I consider myself part of their broader circle of support, collaborating closely with parents and school staff to ensure care is aligned and cohesive across settings.  This approach is designed to foster not only insight, but lasting, meaningful transformation.My fees reflect a depth of dedication to well-being that extends beyond the therapy or coaching session. In addition to face-to-face or virtual session time, fees include time for ongoing review of progress on personalized goals, individualized activities and material preparation, and continual review of effective practices. Private Pay Rates - Counseling/Therapy and Coaching ServicesInitial consultation: ComplimentaryIndividual counseling/therapy or coaching session: $160/50 minutesParent-only or family counseling/therapy session: $160/50 minutes Parent, school, and/or health or mental health provider collaboration, team meetings, and home visits: $160/50 minutes - $80/25 minutes Private Pay Rates - Clinical Supervision ServicesIndividual clinical supervision services: $500/month  (includes four, 50-minute individual sessions, unlimited urgent and non-urgent consultation, and required paperwork)  Additional individual clinical supervision sessions: $125/50 minutes  Triadic supervision services: $250/month per supervisee(includes four, 50-minute triadic sessions, unlimited urgent and non-urgent consultation, and required paperwork)  Additional triadic clinical supervision sessions: $65/50 minutes per superviseePrivate Pay Rates - Educational Consulting ServicesEducational Consultation, Training, Grant Writing, and Direct Services:  Individually Determined(fees are based on the needs of the school or district)Insurance Rates - Counseling/Therapy Services OnlyApproval and rates for counseling/therapy services are established by each individual insurance company. As a part of our commitment to collective well-being, 5% of all Awespired service fees will be donated to San Diego organizations providing no cost mental health services to school-aged youth.

Question 7

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Counseling/Therapy ServicesUnder the law, health care providers are required to give clients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of counseling/therapy services. This estimate includes the cost of individual counseling/therapy sessions and any related services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the charges. For more information regarding your Good Faith Estimate, visit: www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellation of counseling or coaching sessions to avoid a fee.  In-person sessions may be changed to telehealth with at least 6 hours advanced notice.
